Hi everyone.  I know it's been a while since I updated the site.  Massive appologies for my extreme laziness.  I thought with the strike I would have plenty of time to play and update.  Unfortunately the stress of the situation far surpassed anything I imagined, leaving me in a limbo that has been hard to escape.  For those of you interested, today is day 47 of the strike.  Negotiations have finally begun to yield results.  At this point I just want to get back to work.  I miss my patients.  I miss caring for people.  I miss being a nurse.

Last month I was coerced, by two of the most awesome people on our forum, *waves*, into spending last weekend at the Supernatural Convention in Chicago.  I swear they had to threaten me within an inch of my life to get me to go.  (And if you believe that you've never seen a picture of Jared Padalecki or Jensen Ackles.)

Seriously, I felt terribly guilty for even thinking about running off to Chicago for a weekend of fun when I should have been standing on a picket line fighting for "patient safety".  However the pressures of the strike and the fear of being without a job had finally pushed me to a breaking point.  My friends and family were smart enough to see my impending crash and everyone in my life found a way to help me reach Chicago.  I can't thank them all enough.  For the first time in months I was genuinely happy and relaxed.  This weekend rocked!

Meeting all you wonderful people from the boards, forum, and internet was beyond cool!  You all are freakin' fabulous!  I met friends, for the very first time, that I had chatted and laughed with since the day they stumbled their way onto our small site.  I could not have been more impressed with the group of nut jobs that call themselves "Supernatural fans".  This fandom is beyond all others!  This fandom is the freakin' best out there!

Of course the highlight of the weekend had to be meeting the JJs up close and in person.  *fans self*  I didn't think it was possible to love them any more, I was *so* very wrong.  I have never met two more gracious, more considerate, funnier, or more talented actors in my life.  They are worthy of every moment and every ounce of energy we invest in this fandom!  May our thanks and well wishes for their continued success and happiness follow them through the years to come!

Hi.  This is just a short note to apologize for the lack of updates.  I am currently in the midst of strike negotiations at work.  Unfortunately, I am smack in the middle trying to get people to negotiate and being forced to choose whether to cross the line, stand on the line, or throw my hands up and look for a new job.  The other hospitals in the area are saying that they won't hire us because they don't want to get involved...  but I've driven fifty miles to work before I can do it again...  just don't want to do it...  (I mean working 13-16 hours and then driving an hour home just about destroys you).

If anything screwy happens with the site still feel free to contact me.  I just can't promise when I will be able to fix the error.

Hey guys.  Sorry to be gone so long.  Life has just been *weird*!  I have managed to get some new fic up in the fanfiction site, though I still have a lot more plans to implement for the site.

Also, I have found a new *LOVE* and *OBSESSION* that I have to share with you all.  (Trust me if you love "Supernatural", and I know you do, you are gonna love this too.  There is a freakin' genius writer, super-talented with a wit and sarcasm to die for, who writes books with the same brotherly love/angst/burden relationship that we love in our Winchester boys.  The books feature a broody emo half-Auphe (an elf but like no elf you've ever met before) younger brother who is hunted by his father and Auphe cousins, for reasons you have to read the book to find out, and who is protected by a kick-ass big brother.  Of course the younger, tortured brother, Cal also protects his kick-ass big brother, Niko.  The relationship is *so* the relationship we crave for every week.  And there are even more freakin' similarities between these books and "Supernatural".  Still while I know you are gonna have an instant love for these characters because you already love Sam and Dean... the characters are *so* not our boys... but actual intriguing characters of their own! &nbps;And that's really all I can say without spoiling the books for you.
